Join me this week for Sandy Pause Yoga's Second Anniversary and our "Pause & Party" class on Wednesday, September 21 from 6-7 p.m. In lieu of our regular Wednesday night vinyasa flow class, we will roll out our mats for an end-of-summer gentle flow plus pranayama (breathwork), guided by nature's rhythms as we turn toward Thursday's autumnal equinox and the transition to fall. Around 6:30 p.m. we'll move from Pause to Party-- we are partnering with our friends at Trail Stop and will have drinks and nosh to enjoy as we watch the sun go down. No yoga experience is necessary and always know that though you may arrive solo, you will leave having made new friends in the Sandy Pause Yoga community. Please come as my guest to our Pause & Party event-- there is no charge to attend, I just ask that you please RSVP so I have a headcount for the night-- email sandypauseyoga@gmail.com by 4 p.m. that afternoon. (This event will be at the Portage Lakefront Pavilion in the Indiana Dunes Nat'l Park, same time and place as our weekly sunset classes. Come rain or shine, we will be indoors in the glass-walled pavilion).
The Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk are within easy access to the lakefront and beach as well as hiking trails and a fishing pier. There is a large public parking lot, and all visitors to the National Park need to purchase entry to the Park (see Fees & Passes - Indiana Dunes National Park (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) for details and to pay your entrance fee). We will meet in the pavilion classroom (indoor space) overlooking Lake Michigan for our practice.
To reserve your spot in class: Please email sandypauseyoga@gmail.com to register with your first and last name.
Cost/Payment: There is no cost to attend this special event celebrating Sandy Pause Yoga’s second anniversary!
Acknowledgment of Risk form: All students are required to sign the Acknowledgment of Risk form in order to participate in class. If you have not signed the SPY waiver previously, you can sign it when you arrive to class on Wednesday evening.
Please bring a yoga or exercise mat, and a sweater or sweatshirt to be warm and comfy during our final resting pose (savasana).
Please do not come to class if you feel sick, have a temperature, or have been around anyone who has recently been diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus.
This class will adhere to all National Park rules and guidelines. Classes are listed in central time and are for individuals aged 18+.
