“Holding Space” Virtual Vinyasa Class
The on and off mat practice of yoga asks for our active participation in holding space- for ourselves and for others. To hold space is to give the entirety of our awareness and attention to someone and what they are experiencing. It is extending loving-kindness by simply being with ourselves or others, without judgement, and without indulging in “fixing” what we perceive as broken. As Lao Tzu has said, “Without opening a door we can open our hearts to the world.” In this all levels class, we will move through a series of asanas (postures) to create physical space in our bodies, practice holding space for ourselves on our mats (hello balancing poses!), and strengthen our heart and mind muscles to lovingly hold space for one another. Class will conclude with a luxurious savasana (resting pose) to cultivate self-care.
Classes are $15 and payment can be sent via Venmo to SandyPauseYoga. All classes are listed in central (CST) time.
